CFB Top 5

Following my first weekend of perfection (5-0; 18-12), I will leave you with these thoughts from last weekends games:

  • Colt McCoy is now a Heisman favorite, Chase Daniel is out of the running…
  • Ohio State is a totally different team with Pryor…wish him and Beanie played in the USC game
  • BYU and Vandy were pretenders/TCU is real
  1. Oklahoma State at Texas

The Longhorns defense definitely showed their teeth last weekend blanking Mizzou in the first half and going on to win convincingly.  They face another test in their brutal schedule of top 10 opponents with the Cowboys up next.

My Pick- Texas 30-20

2. Penn State at Ohio State

The Buckeyes exploded out of the gate and didn’t look back last weekend against MSU.  Not sure if people noticed that 3 of those TDs came from big plays forced by their defense.  Joe Pa will have his boys ready for this one and they will face the toughest defense in the Big 10 Saturday night.

My Pick- OSU 20-17

3. Georgia at LSU

The Bulldogs come into Death Valley for what should be a good one against the Bayou Bengals.  Hatch is not good enough yet to lead LSU through the SC and Knowshon ‘Whatsinaname’ Moreno will be too much for them in the end.

My Pick- UGA 24-14

4. Texas Tech at Kansas

The Red Raiders look to come into Lawrence and make quick work of the Jayhawks.  This one should be a shootout.

My Pick- 56-35 Tech

5. Virginia Tech at Florida State

Tyrod Taylor and the Hokies want to rebound from a tough loss to BC last weekend.  An FSU loss would make the ACC picture get even cloudier.

My Pick- VTech 21-20
